Not the best, I’d take it off your TBR

I really wanted to like this book because the premise seemed interesting, but in my opinion it just doesn’t deliver. It’s very predictable and the insta-love is a little silly. (However, I just want to say that if you like this book, good for you! We all have different preferences, and I’m not putting down what you like) It’s just not for me or for someone who’s looking for a dark and witty period drama, because in my opinion it’s really isn’t one.

predictable but still enjoyable

i picked this up and was very interested in the premise, and even though i couldnt guess all of the plot twists, i did guess one of the main ones that pertained to the plot pretty early on thanks to the foreshadowing. still a nice read, the plot isnt completely centered around the love between hazel and jack, and its perfect for people who like dramatic period pieces with plenty of gore.
