Anatomic Evaluation Of Heart Using Echocardiography And Radiography

Anatomic evaluation of heart using echocardiography and radiography is done in apparently healthy Rajapalayam and Chippiparai dogs. On radiographic examination, the location and cardiac silhouette are studied and vertebral heart score is determined. Various electrocardiographic parameters are studied using standard bipolar limb lead II system and the results are analysed between the age groups. Echocardiographic examinations are performed using Two-dimensional (2D) and Motion mode (M-mode) echocardiography and analysed statistically. Reference values of various echocardiographic and radiographic parameters in Rajapalayam and Chippiparai dogs are recorded and correlated.
