Anastasia takes us on a journey that begins in Soviet Russia in the 80's, in the halls of the most renowned Russian classical ballet school in the world. It is a journey between times and two emblematic cities like St. Petersburg and Paris, between mistakes of the past and torments that haunt Ivan and Anastasia through decades. Life of these two seems to have nothing permanent and certain, but the same inevitable flow of it ends up being the only solid and unconditional thing in lives of Anastasia and Ivan.
It is a classic love story, about classical ballet, with complex characters that are neither villains nor heroes, and mysterious characters that look like angels. It is a tender and absurdly simple and timeless story.
