It helped me earn three hours of college credit via a CLEP test

When I was in my early twenties, I was working in a dead-end job with little possibility of advancement. After deciding to go to college, I realized that my financial resources were too limited to complete a degree in any reasonable length of time. Therefore, I investigated the opportunity to earn credit via College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests. When I discovered that there was a test on algebra and analytic geometry, I purchased this book and used it for study. I had taken the material in high school, but felt that a refresher was needed. The problems were all easy to understand and the worked solutions made it possible for me to overcome all of the difficulties and uncertainties that I encountered. I then took the CLEP exam and passed it with a score much higher than needed to get the college credit. I strongly recommend this book for any program of self-study or refreshing of material learned earlier but growing dim.
