He has a fateful encounter with Shirota, a human boy of mysterious origins, and believes him to be the person mentioned in an ancient prophecy of the C?ileachd - a person destined to prevent calamity.

The two young boys band together in aid of humankind, and embark on a quest to the kingdom of del. The journey takes them into the kingdom of Joseon - medieval Korea - where they encounter wondrous sceneries, various challenges, and mighty foes. In the process, they develop a deep bond while discovering themselves.
