An eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction, 'An Unknown Destination' is Shalini's second in a collection of short stories. Written over a period spanning a few months, during lockdown with the fear of the dreaded virus looming loud and clear, each story reflects her mood and its many swings, be it happy, funny, sombre, or nostalgic. The book is written mostly in English, however there is a sprinkling (sometimes very generous) of phonetic Hindi. Unlike last time, she chooses not to translate them and lets the stories flow.
