Inspiring Historical

This is book two in the Adventurous Hearts series and is just as engaging as book one. Bea is a strong female character in 1907 who is an umpire for semipro baseball. She is formidable and impressive as she forges the way not just for herself but others as she coaches a college girls baseball team and seeks the position of athletic director. High ambitions in a male dominated world. Emmett is a character you care about from the beginning as he faces struggles with an untrue reputation and a head injury that could cost him his career. As their paths intersect can they learn to trust and rely on each other or will obstacles sidetrack what God has in store for their lives. I am looking forward to more by this author as she brings a fresh perspective with her writing. I especially enjoyed the historical aspect and how she enlightened us. An inspiring historical novel that knocks it out of the ballpark. I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit/Publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
