Practical recipes and delightful reading.

I get the feeling that Chef Rowe is only skimming the surface here; that there’s far more she could tell. As it is, though, she combines a delightful range of recipes with good storytelling and a light historical backdrop to the modern culinary scene in and around the Ozark Mountain region of SW Missouri and NW Arkansas.
