Liverpool during world war ll

This second part of the story takes place in Liverpool London. Maxine Grey, loses her Husband Johnny ..but he's more than just her husband..he's her best friend...that she grew up with ...and hung around with..when they were both very young. Now that the War has taken the love of her life...and she is sad, alone, She desperately wants a fresh start..and to make a difference in this horrible war ! And to use her training as a Nurse. She takes a Nursing job at St. Thomas Hospital in London. She is there only awhile...when a very handsome surgeon , Edwin ..seeks her out, and gives her his attentions, with lunches, dinners, plays. Expensive get aways...But all doesn't go well between them...after some time....when Maxine is at the most difficult part of her young life and her and Edwins Relationship....she finds out the TRUE Edwin...and he's NOTHING at all ...like he portrays. She is Shocked and devastated to learn about his Real life...That she Could Never Ever Fit into !!! Maxine returns to Liverpool...heartbroken...and at all costs to her life and her Familys ...trying to Avoid a Scandal..by leaving her much liked job at St. Thomas Hospital and the friends and the last part of her internship...before she is officially pinned a Nurse. After picking up the pieces of her life....many months later...she is offered a Job at Dr. Barnardo's Orphanage. Maxine Hope's this is the second chance she's been looking for ...to move on with her life..and to help the orphans. Little does she realize that the children need her as much as she needs them.
