Great Britain world war ll

A very Captivating and Emotional wartime tale of love and loss and courage. Beautifully written, insightful and deeply felt. It's a story of friendship and loss and hope. The Historical part of the story is that it takes place at a real Orphanage of Dr. Thomas Barnardo who opened several orphanages during the war to take in all the children that were casualties of the war, either one or both parents killed, with no family to take them in... or parents that could no longer keep a roof over their Childrens heads or food in their bellies...were often given up . This story is about a young woman June Lavender, who couldn't stop her abusive father from killing her much younger sister Clara....so she's made it her mission to help the children ...who lives had been torn apart by the war. She is committed to her job and the children at the Orphanage. June happenes to bump into a Flight Lieutenant Murray Andrews... while in town, at a book store and immediately the attraction is instant for both of them. Much transpires during their courtship...pushing their friendship and strong Emotional feelings for each other..to the brink. As the war rages on..will they be able to breakdown some walls and finally make each other understood and let their real emotions show through for one another. Such an Excellent read. Highly recommend this book....Fabulous writing and story telling...it brings the depth of all the different personalities and characters ...and Especially June's and Murrys !! ...Absolutely 5 stars ! Excellant author and Story!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟There is a second book to this small series..The Orphans War, and a 3rd I just ordered!!! Can't wait till it gets here !! Love her writing and story telling.
