Another great mystery by Ned Lord

Lord's book is exciting and just what I look for when reading a mystery. It keeps you reading from the very start to the very end and you wish it didn't end quite so soon. It is a "stay up book". Lord fits in with the great mystery writers like Robert Parker, Ross Thomas and Robert Crais. I hope he keeps them coming.

A Great Detective Story

An exciting detective story from start to finish. Andy Bowers is a very interesting character and it is challenging to know what he will be up to next. A combination of Robert B Parker's humorous dialogue and James Lee Burke's intense description. I highly recommend it. A great read.

Exciting read!

Ned Lord's second novel is even better than his first! His characters are very comfortable and competent at getting into...and out of dangerous situations. If you like books you don't want to put down, spend some time with An Opportunity for Revenge.

An exciting read

With a touch of testosterone and a wee bit of attitude, Andy Bower is on the job. After the death of his mentor and several friends, Andy is settling into his new career. The ink on his brand spanking new PI license is barely dry before somebody kills Andy's assistant and he wants to know what the heck is going on. Andy's investigation isn't going to be easy, and if he's lucky, his new "sidekick," Stone might be the ticket staying alive. As they delve deeper into a series of attacks directed at Andy, things continue to grow more complicated. Then there are the ghosts who keep visiting. When one of the projects Andy inherited makes a desperate plea for help, he knows that things aren't always what they seem. Now, Andy has to keep himself alive, as well as the woman and her son who have been kidnapped. Ned Lord can write a heck of an adventure. From the very beginning, we are up to our eyeballs in action and intrigue. From shootouts to bar brawls, this book gives the reader a good shot of adrenaline and so much action, the pages almost turn themselves. An exciting read, to be sure.
