Well worth the time to read

An excellent read for adults interested in Irish culture, language, folklore, customs and mores. It was a bit of a tough read in English for me, not being a native English speaker, as there are many turns of phrase and expressions that are tied to old ways and local sayings, so I had to infer what they possibly meant. I loved "hearing" this book in my head, as I imagined it would have sounded, being re-told to a local lore collector / linguistics back in 1932. I live all the little details in this book, felt transported out of this time and to a different place. It's a book well worth reading, especially by those interested in Ireland, old traditions, by linguists, as this translation is immensely interesting in its own right, and by people who live reading in a quick book. you can open the pages and start at any chapter, which I love.
