Originally intended as a series of lecture notes for a course on statistics for engineers at the University of Florida, this work is intended to introduce the reader to intermediate probability theory and mathematical statistics. Starting from the basics of set theory, this work builds the concepts of random variables and distributions, random vectors, statistical inference (hypothesis testing and point and interval estimation), regression analysis, generalized linear models, and more advanced statistical methods.
