look no further than Prof. Mesterton-Gibbons text. Although there are several classic texts in game theory, most proceed as typical mathematical works do: definition, definition, theorem, theorem, etc. This deductive path is great for rigor, but often a "feel" for the subject is lacking. The author's goal here is to proceed inductively, starting from examples and buliding up to the general principles. You'll finally understand, for example, what Nash equilibria in noncooperative games or the core of cooperative games really represents, and you'll be offered plenty of examples to demonstrate the concepts.Kudos to Prof. Mesterton-Gibbons for writing a great text that really gets the reader thinking in a game-theoretic way!
