A beautiful book full of brush painting magic

I was first introduced to this book by my Chinese brush painting instructor. The book takes the reader through the origins and the tools of brush painting before tackling the basic strokes and some projects. There are many beautiful full colour examples of brush painting ideals and the book is so enjoyable to look through. I find for instruction that the traditional Qu Lei Lei 'The Simple Art of Chinese Brush Painting' is better for taking a new student through the steps of actual painting. This book is definitely a great addition to the art library and would recommend it more than Cherrett's other books.
