This book focuses on developing an integrated human resource management (HRM) Model for provincial legislatures of South Africa, wherein the impact of HRM policies and practices are investigated to establish their influence on motivation (intrinsic, extrinsic), employee satisfaction, employee engagement, compensations and other variables. The book demonstrates that there is a statistically significant and positive relationship between the differential application of HRM policies and practices and extrinsic, and intrinsic motivation. The findings apply to turnover intention. However, no contribution of HRM policies and practices on employee satisfaction is established. Furthermore, the book reveals other contributions across variables under study.
