When we use an intentional model to understand the world, we see everything through a lens of why and because. This leads to a narrative framing of human thought and behavior that relies heavily on literary and psychological forms and concepts to produce a muddy, frustrating explanation of why we think and act as we do.

An alternative approach is to use a structural model that focuses on how our mind actually works, how it evolved, how it actually turns perceptions into actionable evaluations. This approach produces testable models that can be demonstrated and proven, rather than just explained.

I've never communicated with Jordan Peterson, never met him. This is an entirely fictional dialog with him that I've constructed in an attempt to communicate the profound difference between the way everyone has always thought using an intentional model, and the way we will think in the future using a structural model that can demonstrate and test ideas instead of relying on the weak, ineffective primordial tools of rhetoric and agreement.
