Maggie sat at her desk searching the web for teaching jobs in Croatia where her grown son had just been vacationing. "Ma, I could live there" kept running through her mind but her search was a bust. No matter how she rephrased what she was looking for nothing about teaching positions turned up. One thing did though, an ad to teach in Madrid. "Come to Madrid Your Spanish adventure awaits " Maggie couldn't help but wonder. She contacted the school, everything fell into place and her adventure took off. The thing was once she landed her feet never really touched the ground. To her surprise Maggie is bounced from apartment to apartment by the agency the school used for housing showing her how living out of your suitcase is really an art. Finally with the help of a friend she gets a place on her own away from the school's mounting lack-of-interest, all the while encountering different people, her flatmates, their quirks one more outrageous than the other. Every time she thought she'd finally found her niche and now she could exhale, something changed. As Maggie stood on the balcony of her sixth floor apartment she now shared with two men, a journalist and geneticist overlooking yet another part of the city, she wondered if it'd finally be safe to take off her coat
