Well written biography of a very unique individual

I have always been intrigued by the life and times of the artist, illustrator, adverturer, philanderer,socialist,author, printmaker...Rockwell Kent. He was an accomplished commercial artist, draftsman, architect,landscape artist, socialist, advocate for the working class...a multi talented man who dabbled in many venues with significant accomplishment. This biography captures a complex life in an excellent portrayal. A very even handed and thorough presentation of a complex and controversial individual.

Excellent Rockwell Kent bio and illustrations

Great bio of a talented artist and engraver. The plates are wonderful. Although a bit older (1950s) this book and artwork are timeless. I found this book at the New Britain Museum of Art and had to have it. AJ
