Ameican military history in the 19th Century

This book is an interesting view of history told by a graduate of West Pont in 1852, who had a key role in the Civil War. He provides insights into the stategy and combat in the Western theater, and the relations of the army on the western frontier after the War. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Franklin, TN.
