Adaptive Tapestry is a new textbook for cultural competence and diversity courses in social work. This book takes the position that professional competence cannot exist in the absence of cultural competence. If culture is the lens through which we all experience and navigate our world, social work efforts and interventions must also be practiced and experienced through a cultural lens.
