Have you ever wondered what would happen to your spouse if you passed away? Would they be able to find all of the important estate and financial documents required shortly after death? How would they... This description may be from another edition of this product.
David Herbeck's voice comes through in this easy to read and very helpful book. He has helped many people, especially widows navigate the difficulties of having lost their spouse. He speaks from deep experience. It is obvious that David knows that most people are reluctant to talk about this difficult topic. His book starts the conversation. David speaks primarily from his specialty as a financial guide and counselor, but the book is rich in good advice for life and for preparing for the inevitable life alone. Stan Hustad
Basics of the complete financial plan.

Dave Herbeck presents in "An Act of Love" the complete primer of financial planning. As a fellow financial services professional I found the book very thorough. I would recommend that every financial planner buy a supply of the books and give them to their new clients to read at their first meeting. The title is right for the book. Every thinking spouse should be prepared for the time when their mate is left to pick up the pieces either at the end of life or at the time of disability or at time when their is a need for long-term care. If Dave Herbeck's suggestions are followed it truly would be a gift, "An Act of Love." Robert J Pagel CLU, ChFC, RHU, CASL, LTCP
Relaxing Approach to a Difficult Subject

Unlike most financial planning guides, this one is targeted, full of down-to-earth and easy-to-understand language, and not meant to scare you. I liked how he used real stories from experience. It is hard to think about losing the people you love but this book takes such a matter-of-fact and "real" approach that it takes all the fear away. Buy a copy for yourself and your mom and dad!
