Amphetamine: A Ghost Story

By 6roucho Jones

Who is the Ghost?

Before dawn, above an illegal free party in Brixton, a beautifully dressed stranger sits in a chair. He has bruises on his face and hands, and no memory of how he got there. Two drug dealers take him in.

GHOST: Oh yes, I may be dead, but I'm smart. They say at dawn you can move between the worlds. The clubs close. Morning rides through on his pale horse. Linger too long and you can be trapped.

A short play set in London's free party scene of the 90s.

WARNING: it contains bad language and drug references, and is therefore indistinguishable from anything else in the long, strange trip we call life.

Groucho Jones was a club promoter in the 90s, and has the neuroses to prove it.
