Though he has survived the initial onslaught, Taylor isn't given much to breathe: first off, he accidentally summoned something quite disagreeable from beyond the pale. Then, there's also the fact that his mark, an older gentleman by the name of Armenes, gave the hitman hired to hunt down Haley and Uncle Theodore a particularly bad performance review on the account of him having been killed-so, Armenes orders him to try again. And this time, it will be much more difficult to kill the hitman (since he is still technically dead, after all).
But help arrives in a very mysterious form: that of a tube of toothpaste, delivered by the Author. If used as intended, this tool will allow the wielder the see the unseen and travel into the unknown.
There is sure to be a little bit of suspense spared for Taylor.
And maybe a little bit of horror.
And maybe some things won't work out too well for everyone.
But rest assured that Taylor will survive this ordeal yet, because this is only the second book in a three-part series.
