Amazing Illustrations From Another Time

Gaar Williams was especially active in the 20s, and his wry, funny drawings were a big hit with a generation now gone. For us (well, me, but you too, when you get this book), these illustrations are an amazing opportunity to eavesdrop into the daily life of the time. some of the jokes are lost on us, but Williams' funny dynamic drawing style are entertaining on their own. He has an amazing facility with the pen and a terrific compositional ability. If you're an illustrator you'll want to study his lines, if you're not, you'll just love them for the art they are.
