Amityville Subdivision

By: Sibbersen, Brad D.

A person can haunt a house, but can a house haunt a person? Steven Madoff wouldn't have thought so, but after fleeing one of the most haunted houses in America he spent the next several years erecting an altar to it - seven identical homes, an entire subdivision of evil, abandoned and forgotten upon his inevitable descent into madness. But the past is patient, and now a team of paranormal investigators is moving in, hoping to confirm, once and for all, the existence of the supernatural. Journalist Abilene Beaumont sees the investigation not just as a chance to get in on a wild story, but maybe her best opportunity to score an interview with the elusive Rachel DeVries, the former darling of the ghosts-are-real circuit, who abruptly dropped out of sight months ago and hasn't made a public appearance since. How much of Rachel DeVries' wild story about her encounter with a literal demon is true? Why has she quietly come out of "retirement" to participate in this particular investigation? And, most worrying of all, why is she the only one who seems to know what's really going on?
