Amir's Aquarium

By: Selden, Gregory J.

Amir's Aquarium is a heartwarming, humorous, and magical story about a young boy who thinks a school field trip to the aquarium will be the most boring day ever, until it changes his life.

Amir would rather stay home building spaceships than stare at fish. But once he steps into the aquarium, something incredible happens: the animals start talking to him. One by one, a wise sea turtle, a powerful shark, a loyal penguin, and a peaceful jellyfish-each shares a life lesson that helps Amir see the world, and himself, in a new way.

This story is perfect for children ages 6-11 and explores themes of:

Patience and self-discovery

Strength with responsibility

Teamwork and community

Letting go and trusting the journey

Full of humor, heart, and imagination, Amir's Aquarium is a story for any child who's ever felt misunderstood, overwhelmed, or just plain uninterested, until something unexpected helps them grow.

Perfect for bedtime, classroom read-alouds, or personal reflection, this book is a reminder that sometimes the best adventures happen when we open our hearts.
