In this world there are many ways of seeing things, many ways to solve problems, and many, many ways to deal with them. This story offers different ways of looking at some of the issues life has thrown at nine-year-old Amethyst, who quite often feels overwhelmed and alone.

She has issues at home with her two older brothers and at school with a couple of bullies. Things start to get very interesting when a kind teacher offers her an amazing experience that takes her on an adventure of a lifetime to an enchanted and hidden place called Rainbow Island. There, she discovers certain strategies to help turn her life around and show her better ways to cope and enhance her life. Not only that, she also realizes her dreams and fantasies come true by bringing to light real fairies, pixies, nymphs, and the excitement of riding dolphins.
