"America's Opportunities" was initially supposed to be an "Afterwards" in the book "Rock Hill", a humorous but loving story of a young boy growing up in America after World War II. However, the Author's Editor, Wife Marylil and two oldest Children Sabryna Apollo and Darrick James Martin agreed it would be more appropriate as a second book. "America's Opportunities" discusses the Economic, Educational, Military, Racial, Social and Tax conditions of our Country today. Suggestions are made to improve our way of life for ALL AMERICANS, not just for the top twenty per cent of the population who today own 89 per cent of the private wealth of the United States. The Author is especially concerned about our horrendous National Debt caused by Unnecessary Wars, Wall Street Greed, Corporate Avarice, and Government Waste. The Author prays that ALL American Citizens will act via the Ballot Box and other forms of Lawful Expression to make their positions known to our Country's Leaders. "America's Opportunities" concludes with famous speeches by distinguished Americans which underscore our challenges today are nothing new to this Country: As President Harry S. Truman said, "There is nothing new in the world today except the history you do not know." A long time ago, the Author had a very intelligent Female Teacher who said, "Jim, America's problems are opportunities awaiting solutions."
