Americana is defined as the persons, places and things uniquely American in nature that comprise an accurate description of our culture. Some examples are Coca-Cola, baseball, Levi jeans, white picket fences, the Indianapolis 500 race, the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls and apple pie. We are proud of our "Americana". We celebrate it almost every day in some way or another. Whenever we are asked what makes us proud to be Americans, we often site one of these examples.Our celebration of Thanksgiving is a holiday unlike any in the world. It is a day Americans come together as family and friends to share a meal, reflect upon the past year and give thanks for the many blessings we have received.
