A Fine Guide to early US Military History

From the revolution to Cuba, this collection of American early war overviews is a worthy title for consideration by anyone wanting to quickly learn the essential meat of American military hitory. This book spares specific details in favor of essential overviews, something that would make it perfect for either students or someone merely wanting to better understand the gist of this field in US history. The portion on the Civil War is the best example, as there's no portion of the conflict that is neglected disproportionately to any other, meaning someone with no knowledge of the ordeal could read the section and come away knowing as much as most would coming out of a semester long history course. Necessary background and political/social information is presented in every section, and there is no better way to gain familiarity with early US military history.
