George Wamsley's squadron never received written orders to fly their C-47s to New Guinea, and somehow they survived the harrowing trans-Pacific flight to Hawaii and onwards to the South Pacific. Wamsley provides a very real, personal account of his experiences both during World War II and of growing up in Montana. I recommend this book for anyone interested in a great adventure tale.
