A well-produced picture of John and Abigail Adams as told through their letters.

This DVD contains a video directly copied from the PBS “American Experience” program S18.E5. After this two-hour program (23 Jan. 2006), you will not only know John and Abigail but also have a more rounded view of their time's history. We also get a good dose of Jefferson. The story is too complex to repeat in a review and needs to be watched to be appreciated. Repeated reviewing is recommended. Just a side note, the actors fit the people they were portraying. The filming of the area where they lived and worked added to the ambiance. Director Peter Jones Peter Jones was born on November 6, 1941, in Tredegar, Monmouthshire, Wales, UK Writer Elizabeth Deane Deane, an honors graduate of Wellesley College, was raised in Coconut Grove and Coral Gables, Florida.
