AMERICAN BALLAD tells the story of the high school student and beauty queen, Ophylia Marcelais, who starts an anti-narco blog, which creates a critical problem for the Mexican drug cartels. What she did by age 22 exploded the internet for truth and reporting about the evil drug war gripping North America.

The Narco, Cybilia, leads a half-dozen of her Mujeres Drogados to gun down the pop singer, Adonis. This act of brutal violence sets off a chain of events for Ophylia, who launches a media campaign to expose the Cartels that cripple everyone.

To not be a target of the Narco death squads, Ophylia devises the alias Pablo Cubo, a shortened anagram of her name.

Cybilia hires the best private investigator, Donaquel, to track down Pablo Cubo and bring her the journalist's head. Ophylia realizes that her time as an anti-Narco journalist runs short and makes plans to turn her blog over to a colleague.
