This book highlights each state with beautiful photos and interesting text. My second grade students love to look at it; it is never on the bookshelf! Although the text is too difficult for them to read, older children could certainly glean much information from this book.

Real beauty

This is a book of dreams come true!At first I borrowed the book from a friend ,but it was so addictive and interesting that I soon realized I needed it myself.Glorius pictures and informative texture in a splended blend state by state.Do you want to look inside America - this book is a journey by itself and a great way getting to know the nature and landscape of this awsome country.Recommeded - indeed!

Beautiful photographs

Wonderful pictures of each state give you a flavor of the different regions. I have used this book as an educational tool with my kids in addition to it just being a great coffee table book. We are planning a trip to a state we've never been to and this book has given us an idea of what to expect. Every American - and especially every teacher - should own this book.

Bought it for a friend - so good we bought it for ourselves

This book we originally bought for a friend but loved it so much we had to get a copy for ourselves.. The book concentrates on the natural beauty of the United States, and is captivating reading.It has state by state information which we have found invaluable in pre-planning our vacations(it is not so comprehensive to detract from the book's aesthetic beauty in itself - so buy tourist books as well). It is a wonderful introduction for a visitor to the US or as a souvenir to take home to family or friends. It is so wonderful it is hard to imagine that it is not still in print!
