Most of our 50 states are one-party-dictatorships as far as state-wide offices. I don't believe the framers ultimately envisioned the minority parties arguments to be consistently ignored and their followers to have essentially, no voice.

If politics is the sine qua non (indispensable element) as THE expression of one's faith, you will ultimately get burned.
