Amelia Takes On Cancer: A Six-year Old Girl’s Story of Struggle and Success

Amelia loved her long blonde hair. She had never had it cut since she was born six years earlier. Then in July 2016 Mommy felt a mysterious lump on Amelia's tummy. Through the divine grace of God, Amelia received prompt, expert medical treatment to remove this large malignant growth attached to her kidney. The following six months Amelia underwent weekly chemotherapy treatments and after just a couple of weeks she became one of "those bald children." This is a short report on what she suffered and how she met this unexpected, life-threatening disease with optimism, a fighting spirit, and great positive energy. Her story is shared to perhaps aid other children who suddenly are faced with the unknown challenge of becoming one of "those bald children." All proceeds from the sale of Amelia's story are donated to St. Baldricks Foundation to support childhood cancer research
