Amelia County Militia at Guilford Courthouse

This is a brief study on the Amelia County, Virginia militia at the battle of Guilford Courthouse. Nottoway Parish, later Nottoway County, was a part of this militia. Work is based on pension statements, state papers, and other records. Includes several partial rosters of companies participating at Guilford, a roster of men receiving public service claims for weapons lost and identifies others who provided supplies in support of the militia. Work also includes a list of identified Amelia militia rendezvous locations.
