This book investigates an important aspect in Amazigh verb morphology, verb conjugation. Given the divergences and convergences existing among the Amazigh varieties, not only from different language areas, but also within the same area, we have adopted for a comparative analysis. The comparison confirmed the existence of an underlying common form to all the Amazigh varieties. The positing of /rad/ as the underlying form for the future particle is highly justified. The analysis of different verb groups revealed that there are some regional particularities. It has also shown that the tense that exhibits more variation is the present habitual or intensive form. This tense involves up to four phonological processes which can apply either individually or in combination.
