San Pedro is a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean rich not only in natural resources, but in vastly different cultures. For centuries, these differences were celebrated by everyone on the island. Coming together to celebrate different heritages was a constant occurrence on the island. It made San Pedro into a thriving and prosperous community. Its wealth and way of life was known throughout the world. Rulers from other countries came to learn how they lived and to gain a powerful ally in San Pedro. Hundreds of years after its discovery, a new foreign power makes its way in to devastate everything they had once cherished. The island and its people are torn in half. They were separated not only by the dense forest, but also by the new social status introduced by this one deceitful foreign power. Hate, discord and rebellion become constants in San Pedro way of life. After many centuries of failed attempts to restore complete harmony, the San Pedran Royalty has given up any hope of their beloved Utopian way of life. Divided and broken, they neglect the hurt in an attempt to regain prior wealth and power around the world.It was not until the day an abandoned infant is discovered hidden deep within the vast forest by a group of very vengeful young men that hope began to creep its way back into the hearts of San Pedrans. Amanda appeared out of thin air. Amanda is taught to hate the Royalty and the upper classes by her seven Thorns. They raise her to be very bold, challenging, strong and very smart. The more she learns about San Pedro, its history, its laws and its culture, the more she realizes extensive change is needed to its current way of life to restore it to a glory better than original. Along the way to leading her country to a much needed new future, she gains an unexpected ally. Together they work to restore San Pedro to an even better way of life.
