During the fifties and early sixties in the small town of Sharpsburg, outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Italian immigrants celebrated each day with love, family, and food (mamma mia, the food!).... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just received your book in the mail and couldn't put it down till the end. After years of searching i have one of my cugina's from Sharpsburg. Meeting just two weeks ago and walking down memory lane was hard to do. Bringing back many tears along with many smiles we shared in our childhood memories at Nana's. She is a Ferraro and my self a Morelli growing up in the 50's and 60's. After returning from my trip down memory lane I came across your book advertised in the Post Gazette and thought I would look it up. The Pugliese's were a bit part of childhood. Thank You.... Doreen Morelli [...]
I'm still smiling.....

Grew up in an Italian family. Our home was not far from Sharpsburg. Reading this brought back so many wonderful memories of my own childhood. It was an era when Sunday and dinner with your family was a special event. I enjoyed it so much, I bought two more copies and sent them to my sons. I am now sending my copy to my sister.
