This book provides extensive focus on printed English Alphabet formation. It isn't muddled with activities, instead focusing solely on letter formation. The full page format focuses on one capital letter and its lowercase counterpart, allowing for additional practice on letters the student may be having trouble with. Each capital and lower case letter is presented for tracing at least 30 times before each free-writing practice page. Once the student has adequately mastered a letter or group of letters, they can then move on to the next one or skip around as comfortable. This penmanship workbook will help increase your student's ability to: -Print uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and recognize the difference between the two. -Write from left to right and top to bottom of page. -Recognize spacing between letters and eventually words. -Understand the concept of writing letters. -Write words and brief sentences that are legible. -Write his/her own first and last name and other important words. Parents can start conversations-helping to build verbal vocabulary, write a grocery list together-helping to practice handwriting skills, and select books together at the library-allowing students to enjoy the usefulness of the printed word. Another way to raise their awareness of language in their environment is to point on street signs, billboards, traffic signs, and menus in restaurants.
