Great book!!!

This book is an excellent addition to a kindergarten curriculum that would go along with any traditional reading series. The ideas are really cute and include writing, science, art, and phonics to name a few. I love the homework activities because they are meaningful, involve the family, and are really simple and only take a little time. I would highly recommend this book to any kindergarten teacher because so often you purchase a teacher resource and only use a few ideas---with this book you can really use the whole thing!

The Best I Have Found

As a kindergarten teacher, I have gone through and searched many resources. This is by far, the best letter introduction system I have used. Each letter is introduced with an animal (Alligator Ann, Bobby Bear, etc...) that you can make as a classroom display. The students are introduced to the letter and sound by a rap or song. There are also worksheets for each letter to practice proper formation. There are science, math, social studies, art, and movement activities for each letter. The students love the characters and songs. This will be an invaluable resource for you!

The bible for Kindergarten and Preschool Teachers

This is a fantastic resource! The updated version is 384 pages and is filled with ways to introduce the alphabet to PreK- and to Kindergarten children. Each letter has an animal tie in. There are activities for math, science, art, writing and reading. Children adore the characters. The lessons are very easy to do!

Great Resource

What a great resource! I borrowed this book from a collegue and immediately went to try and get one for myself. It is packed with ideas that are cross curricular, perfect for todays educational push to integrate curriculum. It also incorporates ideas that touch on different learning styles and mulitple intelligences. I'm a beginning Pre-K teacher and I immediately began using these ideas. I love the letter raps and so do my students!
