From the Introduction: This collection of memories records events that occured during the years betwixt and between-Alpha, 1934, and Omega, 1986; years I was at the university. Many of the events are historically significant- the Great Depression and the LSU Scandals in the thirties, World War II in the forties, and the gradual integration of the University from the forties into the seventies. Recounted here, also, are other memories which are more anecdotal-some happy, some sad, many inconsequential. Also, I have written of persons-the every day variety and the unique. These personalities and happenings depict life on the campus as I experienced it.
