Alonka and the Dinosaur

Lana Raiberg is an artist, writer, and designer. She immigrated to the United States in 1992. She studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

She now lives in New York and works in the public school system. She is one of the authors of the emigrant prose almanacs Poberezhye, Arena, Strany Sveta, and Slovo/Word. She has published several collections of her short stories. Her paintings have been used to illustrate books by New York writers, including Elena Litinskaya and Tatyana Yankovskaya. She has also illustrated several books- poems by Lyudmila Taimasova and the novel Belovezhskie sny (Belovezh Dreams) by Alexander Volkovich, as well as the book of poems Safyanovy bloknot (Safyan's Notebook) by Marina Savvinykh.
