Allison Holker: a Biography

Allison Renae Holker was born on February 6, 1988, in Anoka County, Minnesota. She grew up in Orem, Utah, where she developed a passion for dance at an early age. Holker began her formal dance training at the age of nine when she enrolled as a student at The Dance Club in Orem. Under their guidance, she honed her skills in contemporary, tap, ballet, and jazz. Her talent quickly became apparent, leading to numerous accolades, including winning her first national competition in Co DANCE in 2004 and being named the National Senior Outstanding Dancer at the New York City Dance Alliance in 2005.

Holker's talents extended beyond local competitions. At just 14 years old, she performed in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, where she danced alongside legendary band Earth, Wind & Fire. Graduating from Timpanogos High School in June 2006, Holker set her sights on pursuing a career in professional dance.
