Allah Miyan Ka Karkhana is a tale of a 14-year-old imaginative boy, Jibran, who yearns for all the hapiness his miserable life can offer. All the seemingly small pleasures of life, like flying kites, catching butterflies are gigantic for him. But suddenly, with a tragic turn in his life, he experiances incidents, one after another, filled with silence, darkness, terror, and full of nightmares. With a thousand hidden questions on the meaning of life, Jibran's story delves into why life is so rude towards him or some, if not all. Mohsin Khan is the author of a collection of short stories and several children's books. His Urdu play, Khwaab ki Ta'beer was awarded first prize in the 90's in a radio-play contest, drawing participants from 19 Indian languages. Awarded State Government's honour by Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy, he currently serves as a secretary at Academy of Mass Communication, Lucknow. 'Allah Miyan Ka Karkhana' is his debut novel.
