Easy to read, covers deep subjects from various angles and moves quickly but thoroughly through the evolution of philosophy over time. May be helpful to have some knowledge of other popular books: Dante’s Inferno, Moby Dick, Bible, Odyssey - but even without having read them, the authors do a great job of explaining necessary themes from the listed books.
