Essential knowlege for all national leaders. They never got it in school.

Professor James Warf has performed a remarkable service with this document. It is truly, "all things nuclear." Prof. Warf has a fluid way with words which makes this book read somewhat like a novel. Indeed, he begins with "The Beginnings" and works his way through not just nuclear weapons and war but considers the good of nuclear science and technology, not just the evil uses to which it can be put. You will find, "Nuclear Reactors" as well as "Management of Nuclear Waste" and the "Biological Effects of Ionizing Radiation," all clearly explained with their conveniences, problems, and challenges. Chapter 12, the last, "Ways to Peace" contains a thought-provoking essay, perhaps taking a lead from Einstein, "A New Way of Thinking About Achieving and Preserving Peace," believe it or not, based upon a conjecture from the "father" of the atomic bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer. Of this work Dr. John Gofman, Professor Emeritus of Medical Physics at UC Berkeley, author of 'Radiation and Human Health' has said, "ALL THINGS NUCLEAR represents a magnificent contribution to society.
