A Clarion Call for Biblical Thinking

What a tremendous book for any serious minded Christian, who wants to order his family along biblical lines. Mary's hard-line stance on many issues may offend some, but her entirely biblical perspective is a wake-up call to all who want to make a difference in our society through the way we build and maintain our families. I highly recommend this book!

The "How to" book from her first book "The Way Home"

I have 4 boys and felt that the world was pretty tough on moms who stayed home. But in reading this book, I realized that what I am doing is perfectly OK! As a matter-of-fact, my family has decided that we would leave our family planning to God! Mary Pride has truly re-enforced the concept of back to the basics in living your life as a traditional mother and father. The world is filled with anti-child thinking (ex: family planning, children are incovenient etc.) She really has helped open our eyes on the truth about family life. We are now homeschooling our children, and seriously looking into home birthing our next child(ren).

Refreshing and Full of Good Sense

This book was excellent. It was full of good sense and it was very uplifting. It praised large families, yet made childless people realize that they had something to offer others too. I agree with the author that you should have as many children as God would bless you with. Our economy is in trouble today because we don't have enough people to do all the jobs that are available. Also, having babies at home is the SAFEST place to have them. Hospitals are full of germs and the policies they enact are not usually for the baby's or mother's benefit. For this reason among many, Mary is right to recommend homebirth. Many people may not be ready to listen to Mary Pride. But the world would be a better place if they did. I absolutely love this book!

God has His hand on this woman's writings.

If you don't like what this woman has to say you are probably under conviction and unwilling to release your freedom to be an obedient servant of God. I have reached many of the same conclusions myself. It took me three years and alot of struggle to get through this book. I threw it across the room more than once. My husband has even struggled with it. But we went back to scripture everytime and kept being called back to this book. Reading Mary's book has reassured me that all scripture is valid even today. It's a pity every woman by age 15 has not been made to study these concepts, fully understand her God given role in life and how exciting it truely can be. Now if we women of today would just pick up the baton and run the race, as Mary has clearly outlined for us in her book, God would bless our families and children again. If you are hungry to see God's hand in your life, Mary has written a beautiful book calling women back to the place God prepared for us in the begining. Buy this and let the rebuke and encouragement draw you back to the 66 books that make up our Bible and guide our lives in the path God has laid out for us as women.

Must read for every woman!!!

This book, along with the first- "The Way Home"- are two of the Must Read's that should be on every woman's bookshelf. Mary has a wonderful down-to-earth way of talking to you as though you are talking with a trusted friend. She is also very straight forward in a "Dr. Laura" sort of way. Everything advocated is backed up solidly by Scripture. These two books should be read and shared with everyone you know. If I could afford it I'd buy them for every woman on earth.
